Pin point error is to find out or identify the incorrect underlined word/phrase in the sentence অর্থাৎ Pin point error হচ্ছে বাক্যের underlined করা অংশগুলো থেকে incorrect অংশটি বের করা বা সনাক্ত করা।

Pin Point Error ইংরেজি গ্রামারের একটি অতি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। একটি বাক্যের কোথায় ভুল রয়েছে তা বের করা বা Point out করাই হচ্ছে Pin Point Error। ভুলটি হতে পারে Tense, Number, Gender, Determiner, Correction, Case, Gerund, Participle, Parts of Speech ইত্যাদি সংক্রান্ত। তাই গ্রামারের অন্যান্য মৌলিক item-গুলো ভালোভাবে আয়ত্তে থাকলে, Pin Point Error বিষয়টি খুবই সহজ এবং সোজা মনে হবে। যেমন-

He $\frac{wanted}{ক}$ to let $\frac{us}{খ}$ $\frac{collecting}{গ}$ the $\frac{specimens}{ঘ}$.

এই বাক্যে গ option-টি ভুল কারণ, আমরা জানি Let + object-এর পর সর্বদা মূল verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।
